The Brief

Since the company started in June 2023, Luke had said to John that he wanted to produce an 'Imprint Original' based around outdoor clothing. With no official client on board, we settled on building a brand film loosely around a Barbour(TM) jacket - without any of their creative involvement. Luke's parents had recently moved to a huge farm in South Western Wales, and he set his mind on shooting there. After nearly a year of patiently waiting for Luke to finish his degree, we turned our mind to what the project could be. Several weeks of pre-production followed before John, Luke, an adult and child actor, and a crew of five set off for Wales for 3 days of filming...

Shot - June 2024

Location - Lampeter

Delivered - Aug 2024

The PITCH

Given that we had the run of the farm - we set about how to best use the locations at our disposal. We crafted a story built around 'Ed', whose Dad has recently passed away. He returns from his busy and demanding inner city job to the family farm to sort some belongings and to reflect on some of the good times he had growing up....

Most importantly, we wanted to prove that we could deliver a rounded, emotive story in both a longer format as well as a shorter cut. Therefore, scroll down for not one but two versions of ‘From Generation To Generation’.
